Mine site is within the administrative borders of Akdağmadeni County of Yozgat Province. The distance to the county Centrum is 12 KMs. Nearest residential area is Karapir village located in the south of site at a distance of 10 KMs.
Akdağ skarned metamorphic series of eastern part of middle Anatolia-Kırşehir massive contains zinc/lead deposits. Previously during the Ottoman period, it was working and the county is named after the mine site. In Çiçekli Sırtı area which is one of the working deposits in Akdağmadeni, a great part of the field is covered with white marble. Granite, Aplit (60% Si), and quartz dikes cutting this unit is viewable in every part of the field. Gneisses in the floor is mostly visible in between south and northwest Çiçekli Sırtı and Keçi Bağırtan areas.

4. PRODUCTION AND RESERVE AMOUNT: However because of owner change at year 1995, lower prices in zinc/lead mines, exploration is limited to production areas. There is a vast field and there are unchecked areas.
